Haven Services

Verification of Enrollment with Officials

Occasionally, Haven will receive requests to verify that a student is enrolled in a valid home schooling program and is performing satisfactorily. Examples of these verification requests include:

• verification with DPS for driver’s license approval

• verification with parole and/or truant officers

• verification with Social Security Administrators

• verification with potential employers

• verification with local colleges for high school/college dual admission

Students must complete their work in a timely manner in order for us to verify satisfactory progress for them! For example, Texas students who are not doing their schoolwork are considered truant under the Texas Education Laws. See the Texas Education Code -Compulsory Attendance Sec. 25.085  for further information.
