The Student Profile helps us further understand the student’s specific needs. It is important to set realistic short- and long-term goals. The profile consists of a short "Learning Style" and "Personal Goals" questionnaire. This is a very important part of the student assessment. There is a wide variety of wonderful curricula available in today’s market. It is important to match a curriculum to the student’s specific learning style. Most curricula are more appropriate for visual learners – students who need to see it to understand it. Other students may be quite brilliant but have the challenge of dyslexia, ADD, ADHD or some other type of learning difference to deal with. Audiocassette tapes or video lectures might be more appropriate for them. We have students who want more projects, more challenge – while others have only experienced unhappiness in their school years and are in desperate need of a successful experience. Some students just need a temporary break from the public school system. Whatever your personal situation may be, we want to help you design the educational program that gives you the very best chance at success
